Terms

End-User License Agreement

Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This draft (2026-10-16) shows the terms we intend to use. The final version will be published before Pro checkout opens and before the first public release.

1. Who this agreement is between

This agreement is between you and oddlab (오드랩), the maker of CrashWhy. Purchases of Pro are made through our reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, under its own terms of sale in addition to this agreement.

2. License

3. What the software does on your PC

CrashWhy reads logs and system information. Actions that change your system — ending a process, removing a startup entry, scheduling a restart, changing a Defender setting — happen only when you choose them in a confirmation dialog. CrashWhy does not delete or stop anything on its own.

4. Refunds

We intend to offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase. When a refund is issued, the Pro license is deactivated and the app returns to the Free features.

5. No warranty

CrashWhy is provided "as is". Crash causes are inferred from records Windows keeps and may be incomplete or wrong. It is not antivirus software and is not a substitute for professional repair.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, oddlab's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for CrashWhy, and oddlab is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost data.

7. Third-party components

CrashWhy includes open-source components and detection rules under their own licenses (for example, Sigma rules under the Detection Rule License 1.1). Notices are included with the installer.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change. Questions: oddlab.official@gmail.com.
